Let’s analyse SWOT of Telugu Titans

Strengths:

Siddharth Desai
Siddharth Desai

Sid Desai: The giant raider is capable of winning matches on his own.  He will be more than eager to prove his worth after a below par (by his standards) Pro Kabaddi Season 7.

Sandeep Kandola

Sandeep Kandola: The left corner first made his name in PKL 2 with Telugu Titans and was then absent for 5 seasons for unspecified reasons. Since his return the Services defender has performed superbly in each tournament he has featured in. The uncompromising Kandola is expected to lead the Titans defence.

Weaknesses:

Right Corner, Left Cover + Inconsistent Surinder:

The Titans have bolstered their defence by buying back Sandeep Kandola, but there are question marks beyond him. Right corner Ruturaj has failed to impress with his 2 seasons with Gujarat, while C. Arun struggled in PKL 7. Right cover Surinder on his day is a deadly defender, however sadly for him those days appear very rarely. K.K Jagdeesha’s right corner and right cover are talented but curbing their enthusiasm will be his biggest task, otherwise the Titans defence are bound to struggle.

Opportunities:

Rohit Kumar:

Rohit Kumar

Rohit “Khiladi” Kumar struggled last season with form and fitness issues, since then he has been a shadow of his former self failing to exert his influence in the recently concluded inter services as well and subsequently been overlooked for the Services team for the Senior Nationals. Rohit has a chance to re-establish himself among the elite raiders of PKL.

Threat:

Injury to Sid Desai:

If Sid Desai who has a past with shoulder injuries misses some matches or is out of form then Titans only have Rohit Kumar and youngsters like Rajnish, Rakesh Gowda and Ankit Beniwal to share the raiding burden, which might prove too much of an ask for them.
